Uncommitted countdown: Best 30 SEC targets available- No. 17 WR Damarkus Lodge

SDS will count down the 30 biggest SEC targets still available around the country–these are the players SDS thinks realistically will end up signing with SEC schools. Obviously there are players with SEC offers out west and up north, but if it looks like they aren’t seriously considering the SEC, we didn’t include them in this series.

Here’s a day-by-day ‘month of June’ look at the top 30 realistic SEC targets left in the country, ranking them from No. 30 down to No. 1 on June 30th.

*NOTE: Lodge did in fact commit to Texas A&M, and you can read about it here.

No. 17 – Damarkus Lodge, WR, Cedar Hill (Texas), 6-3/190

SEC OFFERS: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M.
NAT. RANKING: No. 34 overall prospect in America.
NAT. POS. RANKING: No. 4 wide receiver in America.
THE SKINNY: Lodge caught 72 passes for 1,255 yards and 25 TDs last year as a junior in high school, and was the MVP in his school’s state championship game. He is 6-foot-3, 190 pounds and would fit the Texas A&M offense very well, but then again–his QB is heading to Baton Rouge. The five-star prospect is one of the tougher kids to read.
SDS PREDICTION: Tough call, as mentioned above. His high school QB is going to LSU, but Texas A&M seems like the more logical destination for Lodge.

Editor’s note: For this particular series, Saturday Down South’s order for ‘likely SEC recruits’ is determined using the 247Sports.com industry composite ranking (as of June 1st ranking).
