Uncommitted countdown: Best 30 SEC targets available- No. 15 WR Tyron Johnson

SDS will count down the 30 biggest SEC targets still available around the country–these are the players SDS thinks realistically will end up signing with SEC schools. Obviously there are players with SEC offers out west and up north, but if it looks like they aren’t seriously considering the SEC, we didn’t include them in this series.

Here’s a day-by-day ‘month of June’ look at the top 30 realistic SEC targets left in the country, ranking them from No. 30 down to No. 1 on June 30th.

No. 15 – Tyron Johnson, WR, New Orleans (La.), 6-1/190

SEC OFFERS: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee.
NAT. RANKING: No. 32 overall prospect in America.
NAT. POS. RANKING: No. 3 wide receiver in America.
THE SKINNY: Earlier this month, Johnson named Texas Tech his leader. One would imagine that won’t keep LSU from recruiting him even harder–he is the No. 1 player in the state of Louisiana. He is an electric playmaker, one of the many reasons the Tigers want to make sure he doesn’t drift into Texas. Keep an eye on the progression of his recruiting. It should get interesting as Johnson like’s Texas Tech’s pass happy style.
SDS PREDICTION: We’ll stick with the LSU prediction, but this will certainly be one to watch.

Editor’s note: For this particular series, Saturday Down South’s references to recruiting rankings are to 247Sports.com industry composite ranking.
