WR Cornelius decommits from Arkansas, flips to TCU

A few months ago, Jared Cornelius told Saturday Down South that he loved the contingent of Louisiana natives that Arkansas had assembled in this year’s signing class. He talked about how he thought new coach Bret Bielema would turn the program into a national contender, a ‘powerhouse’.

But things change in the business of college recruiting, and Friday, Cornelius flipped his commitment from Arkansas to TCU, prompting a vague Tweet from Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson saying “recruiting’s heating up”.

Cornelius is a wide receiver from storied program Evangel Christian in Shreveport (La.). It is worth mentioning that Doug Meachem, who called the plays at Houston previously, was just hired as TCU’s offensive coordinator. Houston had been after Cornelius hard.
