Florida’s season essentially comes down to this weekend in Jacksonville and the Gators are kicking it off the best way possible as Dan Mullen’s program just landed a big commitment from the Miami area.

Four-star athlete Marc Britt of Miami Christian School just announced his commitment to Florida over Nebraska and Penn State. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect in the 2020 recruiting cycle is listed as the nation’s No. 11 athlete and a top 300 overall recruit by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Florida’s 2020 recruiting class now includes 21 total commitments in a class that ranks inside the top 15 nationally and in the top half of the SEC.

Britt announced his decision with the following comment on Twitter:

“First off, I would like to thank everyone who helped me get to where I am now, I thank God for every blessing and opportunity I have received and for every dream I have and will accomplish. I would like to thank my whole coaching staff and team for allowing me to have a better opportunity to play football at Miami Christian. My parents are the main reason why I have gotten to where I am today. I want to give a special thanks to coach Dennis, you’re the best. After talking this over with my family, coaches and teammates, it was a hard decision but this is the best decision for me. With that being said, I will be committing to the University of Florida! Go Gators!”
