Three conference games highlight the SEC’s Week 2 docket along with a nationally-significant showdown in Knoxville featuring one the of the league’s No. 1 enemies, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops.

Here are 10 questions we want answered during the second weekend of college football:

10 burning questions for Week 2

10. Jacksonville State at Auburn (Noon, SEC Network): How much punishment will Jeremy Johnson bestow upon the Gamecocks following last week’s three-interception outing against Louisville? He needs to look pretty in the home opener to remain in Heisman consideration.

9. Fresno State at No. 17 Ole Miss (3:30 p.m., ESPN2): Can Chad Kelly have a repeat performance offensively and will Laquon Treadwell bounce-back from what Hugh Freeze called an ‘okay’ game against UT-Martin? The Rebels are four-touchdown faves.

8. No. 10 Georgia at Vanderbilt (3:30, CBS): Will the Commodores muster enough offensively to stay within striking distance of the preseason Eastern Division front-runners? Running back Ralph Webb will have his work cut out for him against Georgia’s fierce front seven.

7. Toledo vs. No. 18 Arkansas (4; SEC Network+): What’s in store for Brandon Allen’s 300-yard, four-touchdown encore against the Rockets?

6. Middle Tennessee at No. 2 Alabama (4; SEC Network): How many Crimson Tide quarterbacks will play in the home opener and at what point in the third quarter is Derrick Henry replaced by Damien Harris?

5. No. 19 Oklahoma at No. 23 Tennessee (6; ESPN): Will the national stage against elite competition be too big for the Vols or is Tennessee ready to take the next step for its first major signature win under Butch Jones? 100,000 plus is going to make this a raucous environment for the Sooners.

4. East Carolina at Florida (7; ESPN2): Can the Gators expose an East Carolina defense that’s light on athleticism? Once again, Treon Harris and Will Grier will share snaps under center.

3. Ball State at No. 16 Texas A&M (7; ESPNU): How much of Kyler Murray will we see in this 35-point blowout and can John Chavis’ defense break last week’s mark of nine sacks?

2. Kentucky at South Carolina (7:30; SEC Network): Will first-year starting quarterback Connor Mitch perform with more confidence in front of a home crowd at Williams-Brice Stadium? If not, Steve Spurrier may be quick to yank.

1. No. 14 LSU at No. 25 Mississippi State (9:15; ESPN): Do Dak Prescott and the Bulldogs have enough firepower to spoil the Tigers’ unofficial season opener in Starkville?

*Bonus question: No. 21 Mizzou at Arkansas State (7, ESPN3): Will freshman quarterback Drew Lock play well enough behind Maty Mauk to put pressure on Gary Pinkel for more snaps? Pinkel is an advocate for experience, but a two-quarterback system may be a good fit for this offense.
