This is strictly for the chosen few — the 14 five-star prospects who signed with SEC schools:

Which five have the best chance of being a starter on day one?

There’s more than just talent that went into the selection. There is an advantage for recruits who enrolled early and will have the experience edge. The school’s depth chart was also a consideration as it’s tough for any freshman, regardless of talent, to immediately take a starting job from an upperclassman.

Here are the five players we think could be opening day starters:

McTelvin Agim, DE, Arkansas

The fact that Agim has been practicing with the Razorbacks since their bowl preparation time means he’ll have about 10 months before the start of the season. That’s basically a redshirt year. The gained experience in the scheme along with the fact that he’s a physical freak and has the natural ability to create havoc along the defensive line makes me believe he could start the season opener.

Jacob Eason, QB, Georgia

Eason is probably the opening day starter I feel most confident about as long as he’s healthy going into the fall. Even thought new Georgia coach Kirby Smart didn’t recruit Eason to Georgia, he did everything necessary to keep him committed. Georgia’s other quarterbacks, Greyson Lambert and Brice Ramsey, didn’t do enough last year to guarantee themselves playing time in 2016. Smart will give Eason every chance to win the job.

Isaac Nauta, TE, Georgia

Sticking with the Bulldogs, a sure-handed tight end is quarterback’s best friend. Especially a young quarterback. So if Eason gets the nod, don’t be surprised to see the 6-foot-4, 250-pound Nauta lining up with the opening day starters as well. Both players are early enrollees, and with the Bulldogs likely to lean on their talented running backs, Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, expect a lot of double tight end sets with Nauta being one of them.

Gregory Little, OL, Ole Miss

Whether Little starts at left tackle on day one is a worthy argument. The expectation is the nation’s top-rated offensive lineman will start at the right or the left side coming out of the gate with Laremy Tunsil and Fahn Cooper departing the program. Even though Little isn’t an early enrollee, the opportunity to line up with the starters against Florida State on Labor Day is very good.

Jeffery Simmons, DE, Mississippi State

The Bulldogs have some experience coming back on the defensive line, which means Simmons definitely will have to win some competition battles to earn playing time. That being said, when you look at the film, it’s difficult to find too many more defensive lineman with the ability to play the run and hold his ground like Simmons.

He isn’t the most dynamic pass rusher yet, but he’s well-rounded, physical and plays with discipline and that will give him the edge.
