Statement Saturday has arrived in the SEC West.

Six ranked SEC teams play each other. Obviously No. 1 Alabama hosting No. 6 Texas A&M is generating the most headlines, but there is just as much intrigue in the undercard: No. 17 at No. 21 Auburn and No. 23 Ole Miss at No. 25 LSU.

Here are five things I can’t wait to watch today in the SEC.

1. More Alabama is overrated complaints: Texas A&M is No. 6, undefeated … and somehow a 19-point underdog. Heaven help the Tide if they don’t cover. Or worse.

Can you imagine the Twitter outrage if these two teams play to, say, a 14-7 snooze-fest, which, coincidentally was the score of Michigan’s victory over Wisconsin a couple of weeks ago?

The Anybody But Alabama Crowd (ABAC) is just waiting to pounce. Even a 10-point victory would give ABAC ammunition.

This week we debated whether the SEC would benefit from an Alabama loss. It’s better not to find out.

2. Trevor Knight vs. Nick Saban’s memory: Nobody does revenge quite like Saban. No full-time quarterback has beaten Saban twice. (LSU employed a two-headed monster in 2010, 2011). Chad Kelly was the latest to try and fail.

Today, Knight gets his shot. And, boy, will he take some today. This Alabama defense has been redesigned to seek and destroy. It’s not the same unmotivated bunch he countered in January 2014.

3. Hello, World, my name is Ricky Seals-Jones: Jones is a 6-5, 240-pound matchup nightmare. He is the Aggies’ version of O.J. Howard. Jones has been hurt, but if he’s ready to go, he’s the biggest threat Alabama’s secondary will face.

Texas A&M’s system doesn’t force-feed any one receiver. It’s largely decided pre-snap where the ball is going. Knight spreads the wealth. Christian Kirk is the go-to, quick-read first-choice, but we might see Knight try to force the issue a bit more today with Seals-Jones.

There is virtually no risk. He’s so much more physically advanced than whomever will be assigned to him, and he’s averaging 17.5 yards per catch.

He had a career-day last year against Alabama: 6 catches, 107 yards.

4. Auburn, are you for real? Do you know? I don’t. I have zero idea how good this Tigers team actually is. I like Kamryn Pettway and prefer to watch him run 50 times than watch Sean White throw another 6-yard pass.

Can Auburn score enough to hang with Arkansas, which has proven it can score on anybody?

Arkansas is tied for fifth in the SEC with 15 sacks. I can see them getting to White at least 3 times today, maybe more.

If Auburn is what I think it is, Arkansas wins comfortably, even on the road.

5. Coach O, my: LSU has its head coach, even if it doesn’t know it yet. Why is everybody in such a rush to find the next hot young coach, when you have a proven guy in the locker room?

Coach O has already won the press conference. He’s already won the state. Heck, he is the state. He’s as Louisiana as Leonard Fournette.

I say this all the time: I don’t root for teams, I root for stories, and right now, there isn’t a better story in the SEC than the one Ed Orgeron is writing in Baton Rouge.

How great would it be to watch him add another chapter tonight, at Death Valley, against a ranked Ole Miss team?
