With the first full weekend of college football action upon us, a new set of analytic predictions has been released, this time from Ed Feng – founder of The Power Rank. Feng has predicted not only the likelihood of winning for each SEC team but the projected margin of victory, as well.

Last season, The Power Rank accurately predicted 76.1% of games (570-179 overall) and did not include FBS vs. FCS matchups to skew its results.

Just as Brian Fremeau’s analytics website predicted last week, Feng predicts Georgia to win in Atlanta, Alabama to win in Arlington, LSU to win in Green Bay, Texas A&M to win at home and Auburn to lose at home; however Feng’s Power Rank calls for Kentucky to win and Ole Miss to lose this weekend.

Here’s how The Power Rank sees the Week 1 action going in the SEC:

Sept. 1 – Thursday games

Tennessee is projected to beat Appalachian State by 20.3 points. The Vols have a 92% chance of victory.

Vanderbilt is projected to beat South Carolina by 0.8 points. The Commodores have a 52% chance of victory.
