You may have heard of host Chris Harrison from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.”

But he actually started out as a sports broadcaster. And on Sept. 7, he will “live out a dream” and join ESPN’s SportsCenter as a guest anchor.

Harrison is set to appear on multiple segments, according to ESPN, during the 7-10 a.m. SportsCenter program.

“Harrison and [ESPN anchor Sage] Steele are friends and have talked about Harrison’s love of sports for the past two years,” the report said. “Harrison revealed his interest in visiting ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn., to Steele as well as his desire to appear on SportsCenter and Steele set the wheels in motion.”

“So excited to get back to my sportscasting roots and join my good friend and Miss America co-host Sage Steele on SportsCenter,” Harrison told ESPN.

Harrison first worked in television covering sports in Oklahoma City, and after college, he worked in sports broadcasting with a local station before eventually moving to Los Angeles.

That’s where he got the opportunity he’s most known for as the host of “The Bachelor.”
