The silver lining to suffering a gut-wrenching loss to an SEC team? Your team probably won’t have to wait long to get revenge.

Here are five juicy, interesting potential revenge games on the 2015 SEC schedule.

1. South Carolina at Georgia

Date: Sept. 19
Location: Sanford Stadium
Last Year: South Carolina 38, Georgia 35

Laying an egg against Florida later in the season didn’t help. But falling to the Gamecocks in UGA’s SEC opener — despite 408 yards of total offense — all but spoiled the Bulldogs’ SEC East chances. The post-game narrative also reinforced the notion that Steve Spurrier is a better coach than Mark Richt. Georgia is a heavy favorite in the East in 2015, and must get revenge on the Gamecocks to live up to expectations.

2. Mississippi State at Auburn

Date: Sept. 26
Location: Jordan-Hare Stadium
Last Year: Mississippi State 38, Auburn 23

The Tigers have plenty of “revenge” chances in Jordan-Hare Stadium this year after losing to Georgia and Alabama on the road in ’14. But the game against Mississippi State stands out. Dak Prescott and the Bulldogs ripped out to a 21-0 lead and Auburn couldn’t get closer than 28-20 in the third quarter, falling to 5-1 on the season. If the Tigers want to win the SEC West, this one is a must-win, and if the Bulldogs take a major step back, it could get ugly.

3. AUBURN AT OLE MISS

Date: Oct. 31
Location: Jordan-Hare Stadium
Last Year: Auburn 35, Ole Miss 31

The Rebels entered November very much a part of the College Football Playoff discussion despite a brutal 10-7 loss at LSU the week before. In a tight, back-and-forth game, Ole Miss appeared destined to escape with an 8-1 record to keep hope alive. But not only did the football pop out just before Laquon Treadwell crossed the goal line for the game-winning score, but Treadwell suffered a horrifying injury, dislocating his ankle and fracturing his leg. This was a very emotional loss, and these two teams could be competing for an SEC West title in ’15.

4. ALABAMA AT TEXAS A&M

Date: Oct. 17
Location: Kyle Field
Last Year: Alabama 59, Texas A&M 0

After consecutive one-possession thrillers during A&M’s first two seasons in the SEC, the Tide unloaded on the Aggies. It was one of the most embarrassing losses in Texas A&M football history and showcased just how far the Aggies were in ’14 from winning an SEC West title. But you can bet the home team will be fired up in 2015. If Bama’s defensive backs don’t improve, A&M at least will make it a long game.

5. MISSOURI AT GEORGIA

Date: Oct. 17
Location: Sanford Stadium
Last Year: Georgia 34, Missouri 0

The Tigers may have one the East Division last year, but this complete beat-down — at Faurot Field, no less — cast a pall on the title. Even more embarrassing, at least at the time, was this game came just days after the start of Todd Gurley’s four-game suspension due to receiving money for signing autographs. The Bulldogs dominated Mizzou on both sides of the line of scrimmage. There’s a good chance that this year’s rematch will have a big impact in deciding the ’15 SEC East.

Others: LSU at Mississippi State (Sept. 12), Kentucky at South Carolina (Sept. 12), Auburn at Texas A&M (Nov. 7), Arkansas at Ole Miss (Nov. 7)
