Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre’s had enough of the SEC West love this season.

He said this week that the Pac-12 South is college football’s toughest division, not one that includes two of the top four current College Football Playoff teams and has produced four of the last five national champions:

Five teams from the Pac-12 South are currently ranked in the Top 25, headlined by UCLA at No. 11. Four teams from the SEC West are ranked including three in the Top 10.

Colorado’s 2-7 this season and winless in the Pac-12. The Buffs have been competitive, losing seven games by an average of 12.2 points per contest.

When the season began, several national college football analysts picked UCLA to win the national championship, thanks to Heisman candidate junior quarterback Brett Hundley and one of the game’s best defensive players, Myles Jack.

Much of the Pac-12 hype centered around the league’s top returning quarterbacks along with Oregon, a team that’s finished in the Top 5 of the final AP Poll three of the last four years.
