National Signing Day is on Feb. 4 and the SEC is primed to bring in another impressive haul of top recruits in the 2015 recruiting class.

In the next 25 days, Saturday Down South counts down the top 25 recruits either committed to the SEC or strongly considering SEC schools.

No. 5 Iman Marshall

Position: Cornerback
247Sports ranking: No. 4 overall; No. 1 overall in California
Committed: Looking at LSU, USC, Michigan, FSU, Notre Dame

The skinny: The highest ranked player in California is solely looking at LSU from the SEC. He received offers from virtually every other program in the country, and of the 25 prospects listed on the countdown, he’s the one who will likely escape the SEC’s grasp. Nonetheless, Marshall will be fun to watch wherever he ends up, as he’s the elite corner in high school football this year. At 6-1, 190 pounds, Marshall is long and lean and has great ball skills. While his cover skills are outstanding, along with his athleticism, Marshall can tackle as well as any player in the country.

Freshman projection: Should Marshall pull a stunner and sign with LSU, he would be an instant impact player, along with fellow corner Kevin Toliver. Marshall would play immediately baring any unforeseen injury or issues, and he’ll likely play immediately on any defense in the country.
