Most colleagues will have friendly wagers on college football Saturdays when their teams face off against one another. ESPN is no different than the rest of society, right?

During a segment on NFL Live Tuesday, host and Florida alum Laura Rutledge paid her due to analysts and LSU alums Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark following the Gators’ loss at home. For the remainder of the segment, Rutledge donned a “tiger face” mask, hiding her pain behind the tiny slits where one could just make out her eyes.

Spears played for the Tigers from 2001-04 and would be drafted 20th overall by the Dallas Cowboys in 2005. Clark spent 3 seasons in Baton Rouge from 1999-2001 before electing to go pro in 2002.

The Tigers’ 45-35 win over the Gators puts them back in the hunt to win the SEC under 1st-year head coach Brian Kelly. Quarterback Jayden Daniels rebounded following a loss to Tennessee at home, and completed 71.9% of his throws for 349 yards and 3 TDs.

Florida’s Anthony Richardson totaled 294 yards of offense and scored 2 touchdowns, including one on an 81-yard run at the start of the 4th quarter. As a team, the Gators were outgained by the Tigers 528-395.

The Tigers return to Death Valley Saturday to face No. 7 Ole Miss at 3:30 p.m.  E.T. on CBS. The Gators will enter their bye week before facing No. 1 Georgia in Jacksonville, Fla. on Oct. 29 at 3:30 p.m. E.T.
