Jim Harbaugh’s loss could be the SEC’s gain.

Four-star DT Aubrey Solomon, a Lee County (Ga.) product, announced he was decommitting from Michigan and reopening his recruitment Monday night in a note posted on Twitter.

A postcard Solomon recently received from UM led to the announcement.

“A day or two ago, they sent my mom a card thanking us for going to the Michigan bbq, but we never went,” Solomon told Dawgs247. “I do not know which recruit they were talking to, but it was not me. It was just a little heartbreaking, for me to supposedly be so high on their list, for them to confuse me with someone else. Plus they spelled both of my names wrong after I told them, but that was not the main issue. I guess they do not have tabs on me.”

On 247Sports, 12 recruiting experts previously made Crystal Ball predictions on where Solomon would sign, and Georgia was the favorite with six picks. Alabama, Ole Miss and Florida were the other schools picked along with UGA and Michigan.
