With the advent of the College Football Playoff, the SEC is more focused than ever on tough non-conference matchups.

The conference went as far as to institute a rule that each member school face at least one Power 5 foe in its four non-SEC games each season (independents Notre Dame, BYU and Army satisfy that requirement as well).

It’s become more difficult to get major programs to agree to home-and-home series with each other. Neutral-site games offer big money — Alabama will receive $5 million and a wad of other benefits to play Florida State in Atlanta in 2017.

Teams also would rather not travel to places like Autzen Stadium (Oregon) or The Big House (Michigan), and vice versa.

As a result, neutral-site games between heralded programs are all the rage in college football. Texas A&M and Arkansas also have started playing their annual SEC West showdown in Arlington, Texas, while the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” continues to be held in Jacksonville, Fla.

If you’re an SEC fan, but don’t live near a campus, you’ll still see plenty of conference action near Dallas, Atlanta and even Houston. Orlando appears poised to get a piece of the action as well in the refurbished Citrus Bowl.

Next season’s Tennessee-Virginia Tech game at Bristol Motor Speedway also should be entertaining as the teams attempt to break college football’s all-time attendance record.

Here’s a fun list of all the SEC’s future neutral-site games, including eight such contests in 2015. Thanks to FBSchedules.com for helping compile the information.
