On Allen’s 247Sports profile, which lists him as the No. 21 prospect at his position and No. 37 Georgia overall recruit from Georgia, others refer to him as an outside linebacker. The Lanier (Buford, Ga.) product has shown the most interest in Georgia, Tennessee and Wake Forest. Allen recently visited UT for “Orange Carpet Day,” which landed the Volunteers eight commitments. There’s hardly a conference program not interested in Allen, as Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt all extended offers, but missed the cut for the above list.
#UGA makes the cut to Mike Allen's list. Large OLB out of Lanier is a wanted man by many. https://t.co/VV5N1PlfX1

At either position, the 6-foot-6, 241-pound pass-rusher looks to have a future sacking SEC quarterbacks.
