The Miami Hurricanes will be without several underclassmen for the Russell Athletic Bowl on Dec. 28.

Former Georgia coach Mark Richt was forced to suspend seven players for failing to “meet the standards of expectations set by the program, according to ACCSports.com.

WR O’Juan Carney, TEs Jovani Haskins and Michael Irvin II, DL Tyreic Martin and Gerald Willis and DBs Jeff James Jr. and Cedrick Wright will not play against West Virginia.

All the players, except for Willis, are freshmen. Willis is a sophomore.

Fortunately for the non-suspended Hurricanes, none of the suspended players have contributed much this season.

Miami will take on the Mountaineers on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. The game can be seen on ESPN.
