Four SEC teams are in the hunt for a Music City Bowl invite for a Dec. 30 kickoff in Nashville, Tenn.

According to a report from The Tennesseean’s Mike Organ, either Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, or Tennessee will be headed to the country music capital to square off against an opponent from the ACC or Big Ten.

“We always have interest in Tennessee, but I’m thinking they have a chance to be above us,” Music City Bowl president and CEO Scott Ramsey said. “As for those other three teams, assuming they will all have 8-4 records, we’re looking at how they would match up with the teams in the Big Ten as we see how the rest of the season plays out.”

According to the the Music City Bowl’s official website, the bowl game “reached a six-year agreement with the SEC to take on either the ACC or Big Ten (through a unique partnership with the TaxSlayer Bowl) each year.”

Louisville topped Texas A&M, 27-21, in last year’s music city matchup.
