PFF's 2017 NFL mock draft has 12 players from the SEC; five of the top seven picks
While the SEC is always heavily featured in the NFL draft, according to Pro Football Focus, the next draft could be the best draft yet for college football’s premier conference.
In Pro Football Focus‘ latest mock, they have five of the top seven selections coming from the SEC and 12 players among the first 32 taken off the board.
Here’s how PFF currently projects the next round of SEC talent to land in the NFL (with each number indicating the overall draft slot):

3. Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee
5. Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida
6. Charles Harris, DE/OLB, Missouri
7. Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
11. Jonathan Allen, DT, Alabama
14. Deatrich Wise, DE, Arkansas
19. Tim Williams, DE/OLB, Alabama
21. Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
24. Carl Lawson, DE, Auburn
25. Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
31. Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt
Only running back Leonard Fournette and Nick Chubb made the list on the offensive side of the ball and of course Alabama led the way with three overall selections.
