Another weekend of SEC action is just around the corner, with five interdivisional games and two out-of-conference matchups. What will everyone be talking about around the water cooler on Monday? Here are our predictions.

Ole Miss is eliminated. The Rebels climbed toward the top of the polls in October before being knocked down a few pegs by LSU last week. They still sit firmly in the College Football Playoff picture, with the committee ranking them No. 4 this week. That’ll change against Auburn. The Tigers have one of the more underrated defenses in the country. We saw what can happen to the Rebels when their offense is thrown out of whack, and Auburn should be able to disrupt them. With their second loss, Ole Miss will drop out of the top four.

Florida gets blown out, Will Muschamp keeps his job. If Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley was going to can his coach mid-season, wouldn’t it have come after Missouri embarrassed the Gators during their homecoming game? Muschamp likely bought himself the rest of the season by turning the offense over to Treon Harris. If he turns the offense around, though, it puts Gators fans in an excruciating position.

Is Steve Spurrier back? The Gamecocks coach has not lived up to his legendary reputation for much of the season. Pretty much everyone, from oddsmakers to yours truly, thought The Visor was going to get it handed to him on the Plains of Auburn last weekend, but the Head Ball Coach pulled some magic out of his hat to keep South Carolina in the game up to the final whistle. Spurrier loves to get his teams up to the play Tennessee, and he’ll call another magnificent game to show he’s still got it.

Texas A&M reminds everyone how fun they can be. Louisiana-Monroe isn’t exactly an SEC team, but the Aggies will impress once again with their offense against an out-of-conference opponent. It won’t matter who the quarterback is, as the Aggies receivers will run wild through the secondary and the defensive line cranks up the pressure on the Warhawks.
