OFFENSIVE RED ZONE STATISTICS

Through Week 5, Kentucky is still the only SEC team that’s managed to score on every red zone trip, going an impressive 16-for-16. No other Power 5 team is perfect on its scoring chances. In fact, the Wildcats are one of only six FBS teams that are still unblemished in that regard. The only school that’s done better than 16-for-16 is Idaho, which is 17-for-17. Kentucky went 3-for-3 against Eastern Kentucky last week, coming away with touchdowns each time.

Speaking of touchdowns, Alabama rises to the top in terms of getting into the end zone. The Crimson Tide has converted 16 of 21 attempts (76.2 percent) into touchdowns, which is the best in the SEC and tied for ninth in the FBS. It’s also tied for fourth among Power 5 teams.

Mississippi State led the SEC in red zone touchdown percentage (80 percent) entering last week, but the Bulldogs only got in the end zone 1 of 3 times in the loss to Texas A&M on Saturday.
