Former Alabama basketball player Robert Horry is best known as “Big Shot Rob” for his tendency to hit game-winning shots in close games during his 16-year professional career.

Now, the seven-time NBA champion’s son is read to have his moment in the athletic spotlight.

But for Camron Horry, that chance to shine will come on the gridiron. And now, it may come in the SEC.

According to 247Sports’ Shea Dixon, the younger Horry recently received his first SEC football offer from the LSU Tigers.

At 6-foot-5 and 261-pounds, the Katy, Texas product is the latest Lone Star State recruit to receive attention from Les Miles’ coaching staff.

Though the three-star is listed as an athlete by some recruiting services due to his ability to play multiple positions, the Tigers have reported offered him a scholarship as a tight end. Horry also plays defensive end and offensive guard.

Purdue, SMU and Illinois are other schools that have offered Horry, who is a member of the 2017 recruiting class.
