The Peach State powering 2015 SEC recruiting class
Georgia is famous for two exports, and only one of them provides the state its nickname.
Looking at the home state of all 280 current SEC commitments, according to 247Sports, a whopping 50 of them are from the Peach State. That’s nearly 18 percent, and much higher than Mississippi (35) and Florida (31).
The Magnolia State benefits from having arguably the best junior college feeder system of any state in the country, as measured by football, and the fact that Auburn gets so many of its players from the nearby state.
At the other extreme, Kentucky claims just three current SEC commitments, including five-star RB Damien Harris (Alabama).
