Longtime broadcasting legend Brent Musburger ruffled a few feathers in the commonwealth of Kentucky while calling the Wildcats’ 38-point loss to LSU Saturday night.

Specifically, fans were upset about Musburger’s conduct following a play in which Kentucky tailback Boom Williams was shaken from a brutal collision with an LSU player on a kickoff return.

As LSU kicked the ball off, Musburger began an anecdote about Les Miles’ family and its athletic accomplishments. His story was interrupted by Williams’ return, and when Williams continued to lay on the ground after being hit helmet to helmet Musburger and partner Jesse Palmer initially showed grave concern for his well-being.

However, this didn’t last long, as Musburger went right back to his story, eventually breaking out in laughter as Williams laid still on the ground.

The Big Blue Nation did not take kindly to Musburger’s light-hearted laughing, taking to Twitter to share their disgust over his conduct:

Williams was later diagnosed with a concussion. He did not practice with the team Tuesday but has also not been ruled out of Saturday’s game as of Tuesday night.

On the lighter side of things, Verne Lundquist had a great Uncle Verne moment while calling the game between Alabama and Texas A&M last weekend.

If you’ve watched an SEC game on television this year, any SEC game at all, you’ve seen those damn Chick Fil A commercials with those scheming cows plotting to get us humans to spare their lives in favor of eating chicken, ideally at Chick Fil A.

Well, it just so happens one pesky cow made her way onto the CBS broadcast, and let’s just say Lundquist was not amused. Perhaps he’s a cheeseburger kind of guy.

Come on, Cow.
