SEC daily: Elite QB's decommitment deemed a hack; Tide loses DB
Media outlets everywhere jumped the gun on a decommitment from four-star quarterback Deondre Francois Thursday night after Francois amended an earlier tweet saying his account was hacked and he’s sticking with Florida State.
Earlier today, Francois let out a tweet saying he had “decommitted from the University of Florida State”. He deleted the tweet and went silent on Twitter for about an hour.
With media outlets going crazy, he later released the following tweet:
I apologize for the inconvenience. It was a mistake. My Twitter account was hacked. I am still 100% committed to FSU #Tribe15
— Dre (@Deondre_3) January 29, 2015
Francois visited Florida last weekend, and he’s now publicly said he’s sticking with FSU twice now, even though he sent out the decommitment tweet.
Could Florida land Francois on National Signing Day? Things could get very interesting.
Onto the news…
