We’re less than 24 hours removed from the national championship game, and already several national websites have released their way-too-early Top 25 rankings for the 2015 season (see links in table below).

The current consensus is that Ohio State and TCU are the frontrunners for the national championship (Bovada odds released earlier Tuesday also favors the Buckeyes and Horned Frogs).

Taken from ESPN, CBS, Fox Sports and The Sporting News, which only released a Top 10, there are 11 different SEC teams showing up in someone’s Top 25.

Missouri, which won back-to-back SEC East titles, isn’t ranked in ESPN’s Top 25. All three of the sites that listed a full 25 teams included Tennessee, expecting the Vols to make headway in Butch Jones’ third season.

The SEC just placed a record 12 teams in bowl games and looks positioned to potentially get 11 or 12 bowl teams again in 2015.

Kentucky and Vanderbilt are unranked, but the third SEC team not included in any Top 25 may surprise you: South Carolina.
