The current SEC players showcased their supreme talent again this weekend after another exciting slate of college football games. But did the former SEC studs perform at a similar level this past Sunday in the NFL?

SDS has all the latest on how former SEC players did in their fourth week of the 2014 season. Here are the top performances.

QB Eli Manning
NFL team: New York Giants
Former SEC team: Ole Miss Rebels
Week 4 stats: 28-39, 300 yards and five total touchdowns

The former Ole Miss signal caller keeps on rolling in the Big Apple, this time putting up 300 yards passing and five total touchdowns in front of a national audience on Thursday Night Football against the Washington Redskins. As always though with Manning, it’s a big risk-reward kind of season as he’s already thrown five interceptions including another one this past Thursday.

WR Randall Cobb
NFL team: Green Bay Packers
Former SEC team: Kentucky Wildcats
Week 4 stats: seven receptions, 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns

Green Bay’s offense finally broke open with a 21-point drubbing of their NFC North rival Chicago Bears. Cobb, who has struggled to put up much yardage this season, finally had a big game. He racked up 113 receiving yards on seven receptions and found the end zone twice. Cobb will continue to be one of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets.

QB Matthew Stafford
NFL team: Detroit Lions
Former SEC team: Georgia Bulldogs
Week 4 stats: 24-of-34, 293 passing yards and three total touchdowns

Even without much production from a banged-up Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford continued to shine and led the Detroit Lions to a 24-17 road victory against the New York Jets. The former No. 1 pick three for nearly 300 yards and scored three times – two passing and one rushing.

WR Jarius Wright
NFL team: Minnesota Vikings
Former SEC team: Arkansas Razorbacks
Week 4 stats: eight receptions and 132 receiving yards

After a very quiet to the start of the season, the Minnesota Vikings offense blew up yesterday, scoring 41 points on the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater shined in his first career NFL start and his favorite target – Jarius Wright – reaped the rewards. The former Razorback led the team with eight receptions and 132 receiving yards, including a 52-yard reception. It was a career day for Wright.

Other notable NFL performances:

  • QB Ryan Tannehill – 278 passing yards and two touchdowns
  • RB Trent Richardson – 99 total yards and one touchdown
  • WR Mike Evans – four receptions, 65 receiving yards and one touchdown
