SEC team stats: Week 3
With Week 3’s exit, we’re starting to get a sense of what teams do best and where they have deficiencies.
Arkansas was just too physical for Texas Tech, and the Hogs lead the SEC in rushing offense, averaging a gaudy 362 yards per game. Arkansas leads the league with 14 rushing touchdowns.
Texas A&M is still torching teams through the air, averaging over 400 passing yards per game and an SEC-high 14 passing touchdowns. Much of that is because of Kenny Hill, who’s thrown for 1,094 yards and 11 touchdowns.
LSU has posted back-to-back shutouts, and the Tigers are yielding just eight points per game in John Chavis’ defense. The Tigers’ defense is for real, but that passing game has to improve.
