If there’s one area of recruiting the SEC often dominates it’s the junior college ranks where players who didn’t qualify out of high school sharpen their skills to meet necessary entry requirements.

The incoming 2015 class is no different headlined by several big-time prospects expected to provide instant depth for SEC elites. Here’s a look at some of the nation’s top JUCO players and where they’re committed this season based on 247Sports’ composition rankings:

  • Jovon Robinson, RB, 5-11, 225, Georgia Military College, Five-star (Committed to Auburn) — The nation’s top JUCO player is this all-everything running back, a ballcarrier with the ideal blend of strength, speed and explosiveness. Wanted by nearly every elite program in the Southeast, Robinson picked Auburn over Alabama in March, one of the gems of this year’s class for the Tigers.
  • Marquavius Lewis, DE, 6-4, 270, Hutchinson Community College, Four-star (Committed to South Carolina) — The Gamecocks are in dire need of a highly-skilled pass rusher next season and Lewis fits the build at strong-side defensive end. The Palmetto State native should challenge for a starting spot from Day 1.
  • Alvin Kamara, RB, 5-10, 215, Hutchinson Community College, Four-star (Committed to Tennessee)
  • Dante Sawyer, DE, 6-2, 260, East Mississippi Community College, Four-star (Committed to South Carolina)
  • Jason Smith, ATH, 6-1, 180, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Four-star (Committed to Auburn)
  • Chase Abbington, RB, 6-2, 210, Hutchinson Community College, Four-star (Committed to Mizzou) — A bruiser a 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, Abbington’s a serious threat in goal line situations and is the third highest-rated running back in the JUCO ranks.
  • Donald Gray, WR, 5-9, 185, Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Four-star (Committed to Mississippi State)
  • Tony Bridges, CB, 6-2, 190, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Four-star (Committed to Ole Miss)
  • Paris Palmer, OL, 6-8, 305, Lackawanna Community College, Four-star (Committed to South Carolina)
  • Jeremy Cutrer, S, 6-2, 170, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Four-star (Committed to LSU)
