Shaq's son, Shareef O'Neal, decommits from Arizona in wake of FBI investigation
Though Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most famous basketball players ever to attend LSU, his son, Shareef, decided to carve his own path.
Back in November, O’Neal committed to Arizona, which is much closer to his Los Angeles home.
However, as coach Sean Miller and the Wildcats program deals with serious allegations in the FBI investigation into college basketball, O’Neal has had a change of heart, decommitting from Arizona:
At this time I'm am opening up my recruitment due to the current events with the UofA Bball team.I would like to thank all the coaches for recruiting me. At the time my family and I think it's in my best interest to look at other options to assure my play in the NCAA next year.

According to the 247Sports composite, O’Neal is the No. 9 power forward in the class of 2018 and the No. 4 overall recruit from the state of California.
Shaq has said he’d like his son to go to LSU, and the Tigers are now back in the mix. However, so are programs like Kentucky and other big-name squads across the country, though O’Neal may want to wait to commit again until he sees how this FBI investigation plays out.
