The Southeastern Conference had seven players named to the Sporting News’ All-American Team, and six more to the publication’s second-team on Wednesday.

Alabama led all schools with three first-team selections: Wide receiver Amari Cooper, safety Landon Collins and punter JK Scott.

Cooper and Collins are both one step away from being unanimous selections as the Sporting News is one of the five services the NCAA uses to determine that and consensus status.

The Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association and Walter Camp Foundations have all announced their teams, with just the Football Writers Association of America remaining.
