We’re at the point where things are starting to slow down in Omaha. Only one game, Game 10 of the College World Series, is scheduled for Thursday: Mississippi State vs. Louisville.

Both the Bulldogs and Cardinals lost to Vanderbilt and now they’re playing for another shot at the Commodores. Louisville fell to Vanderbilt during the opening weekend but managed to avoid elimination by downing Auburn Tuesday/Wednesday in a weather-suspended elimination game. MSU beat Auburn to start the CWS 1-0 but landed in the loser’s bracket after falling to Vanderbilt 6-3 on Wednesday night.

Thursday’s game is set for 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) and will air on ESPN2. The winner of Thursday’s game will face Vanderbilt on Friday night (Game 12, 7 p.m., ESPN). As the 2-0 team, VU would need to be defeated twice to be eliminated before everything resets for the championship series. For now, Mississipi State and Louisville are only concerned with Thursday’s game. The Bulldogs will be the road team and the Cardinals will get the last at-bat.
