Several true freshmen continue to make an impact this season around the SEC. Here’s a look at some of the biggest contributions from last week:

Alabama: Few players in the country had as big a day as Crimson Tide defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, who blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown, broke up a pass, had a sack and three other tackles. His teammate Calvin Ridley also had the best game of his career in the 38-10 win at Georgia. Ridley had five catches for 120 yards with a touchdown.

Arkansas: Running back Rawleigh Williams has played all season but had his breakout game in the Razorbacks’ win over Tennessee to snap a three-game losing streak. Williams carried 14 times for 100 yards and had a catch for one yard.

Auburn: The Tigers got a much needed win against San Jose State and Kerryon Johnson continues to be a multi-talented threat for the Auburn offense. He finished with 21 yards on five carries.

Florida: The future looks bright for the Gators, who upset Ole Miss and are playing a variety of freshmen both true and redshirt. Among them was Antonio Calloway, who had three catches for 30 yards and a touchdown. Running back Jordan Cronkrite rushed four times for 12 yards and a touchdown.

Georgia: The Bulldogs suffered a bad loss to Alabama, but Terry Godwin continues to make a contribution at wide receiver. Godwin had three catches for 30 yards as the Bulldogs had trouble getting much going on offense. Trenton Thompson added four tackles on defense.

Kentucky: Defensive back Chris Westry’s solid debut season continues. He had four tackles in the Wildcats’ narrow victory over Eastern Kentucky.

LSU: The Tigers cruised past Eastern Michigan with contributions from Derrius Guice, who had three carries for 34 yards along with a catch for six yards. Donte Jackson had two kickoff returns for 48 yards. Kevin Toliver had two tackles and Arden Key had three.

Mississippi State: Running back Malik Dear got only on carry, but he broke it for a 52-yard touchdown in the loss to Texas A&M. He also added two catches for 23 yards.

Ole Miss: The Rebels are redshirting most of their freshman class, but offensive tackle Javon Patterson continues to start on the offensive line.

Missouri: With Maty Mauk suspended, Drew Lock got his first start at quarterback and led the Tigers to a bounceback victory against South Carolina. He completed 21 of 28 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Corey Fatony punted five times for an average of 35.8 yards.

South Carolina: Quarterback Lorenzo Nunez wasn’t as sharp in his second start for the Gamecocks. He completed 15 of 24 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown, but also threw three interceptions and was sacked four times. He also rushed for 60 yards.

Tennessee: Jauan Jennings had two catches for 10 yards and threw an incomplete pass. Darrin Kirkland Jr. was second on the team with seven tackles in the loss to Arkansas.

Texas A&M: Wide receiver Christian Kirk continues to be one of the best in the SEC, catching eight passes for 77 yards and carrying four times for 17 yards. Defensive tackle Daylon Mack had one tackle.

Vanderbilt: Jordan Griffin had a tackle in the Commodores’ come-from-behind win at Middle Tennessee State.
