Reports: UAB football to be reinstated
According to multiple reports, UAB president Ray Watts will reinstate the football program Monday in a 4 p.m. press conference.
The decision comes just months after the school dropped its football program in December, with Watts citing the program couldn’t be supported financially.

UAB should now remain in Conference USA, which requires its members to have FBS-level football programs.
Tennessee was the only SEC team scheduled to play UAB in 2015, and the Vols replaced the Blazers with Bowling Green.
