Game week is here.

As we look forward to kickoffs Thursday night and Saturday, here’s a rundown of the current health of every team in the SEC East.

FLORIDA GATORS

Major Injuries: OT Martez Ivey (knee), LB Antonio Morrison (knee)

Other Major Casualty: RB Adam Lane (left the program)

Jim McElwain already is notoriously guarded when it comes to injury news.

We still don’t know exactly what happened to Morrison in the Birmingham Bowl, other than that it led to two knee surgeries and that Morrison has been limited to non-contact drills during preseason camp. when he’ll return to the field is anyone’s guess.

Ivey, a five-star true freshman who was looking like a starting offensive tackle for the Gators, required arthroscopic knee surgery Friday. Again, we don’t know a timetable, but McElwain did indicate that the injury “doesn’t appear to be a season-ending thing.” Already, though, a thin and inexperienced offensive line is being tested.

S Keanu Neal (leg) is the other significant player recently out due to injury, although we have next to know details on his status. WRs Valdez Showers and Raphael Andrades also have not been practicing due to undisclosed injuries.

GEORGIA BULLDOGS

Major Injury: WR Justin Scott-Wesley (knee)

Scott-Wesley will give up football due to yet another knee injury. At least, that’s the latest official report, though it sounds as if ruling out a Scott-Wesley return may be premature. At any rate, senior WR Malcolm Mitchell seems to be healthy entering the season.

WR Isaiah McKenzie (hamstring), a preseason All-SEC contender as a return specialist, may not be healthy enough to return both kicks and punts early in the season. The 5-foot-8, 170-pound sophomore has struggled with injuries since arriving in Athens last year.

A minimal but looming concern is the state of Leonard Floyd’s shoulder. Perhaps the key to the entire Georgia defense, Floyd is a versatile player expected to threaten for the team lead in sacks while attacking from three different positions. Shoulder surgery kept him from playing in the Belk Bowl, and lingering soreness required an MRI earlier in preseason camp.

Floyd is full go entering the season, but the team surely will monitor the joint closely.

KENTUCKY WILDCATS

Major Injuries: None

Other Major Casualty: OLB Jason Hatcher (two-game suspension)

ILB Ryan Flannigan, an undersized 226 pounds, collided with 320-pound defensive lineman-turned-fullback Jacob Hyde in practice and injured his shoulder. In a sling at one point, Flannigan has returned to non-contact drills, but his status for the start of season isn’t available.

According to reports out of Lexington, the Wildcats are pretty healthy entering game week, although the defense must do without Hatcher for the first two games of the season.

MISSOURI TIGERS

Major Injuries: DT Harold Brantley (car accident), WR Johnathan Johnson (ankle)

Other Major Casualty: DE Marcus Loud (dismissed)

It happened during the summer before practice resumed, but the loss of Brantley was a big blow to the Mizzou defense. It compounded the loss of a projected starting end in Loud, dismissed from the team shortly before Brantley’s violent car accident.

The Tigers enter the season with a number of nagging injuries. K Andrew Baggett (back) returned for the team’s final preseason scrimmage. But TE Jason Reese (knee), WR Wesley Leftwich (knee) and WR J’Mon Moore (shoulder) are among those still nursing some issues.

SOUTH CAROLINA

Major Injuries: WR Shaq Davidson (knees), WR Jerad Washington (leg)

The Gamecocks have treated Pharoh Cooper with kid gloves all preseason due to minor hand and knee ailments, but Cooper should enter the season more or less at 100 percent.

Steve Spurrier just announced Sunday that Davidson, a redshirt freshman, will miss the entire season and will require surgery on both knees. But he wasn’t expected among the rotation of six receivers the team is prepping to face North Carolina.

Overall, South Carolina’s key players enter the Thursday opener healthy. TE Connor Redmond (back), K Joseph Charlton (back), CB Shannon James (wrist), QB Gage Pucci (knee) and S Antoine Wilder (right knee sprain) are among those who wore a yellow no-contact jersey at practice last week, according to The State newspaper.

TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS

Major Injuries: G Marcus Jackson (biceps), G Austin Sanders (biceps), NB Rashaan Gaulden (foot), S LaDarrell McNeil (neck)

We’ve been preaching — to the choir, probably — all offseason about Tennessee’s roster, and more specifically its depth. The Vols, though young in spots, can match most every team in the SEC with its 22 starters. But Tennessee probably needs pristine health in order to challenge for an SEC championship in 2015.

That’s already out. The team is down a starting guard and nickelback for the entire season. Sanders, another guard, also will not return. And McNeil, a starting safety, will miss at least a chunk of the season with a recently-discovered nick injury, if not more.

WR Jason Croom (knee) also will miss the early portion of the season after getting his knee scoped.

VANDERBILT COMMODORES

Major Injuries: WR C.J. Duncan (lower leg), LT Andrew Jelks (knee)

New offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig had enough worries with a lower-tier offensive line and trying to find a suitable starting quarterback after Patton Robinette retired.

Then he lost his No. 1 receiver and veteran starting left tackle.

Expect opposing defensive coordinators to key on RB Ralph Webb and TE Steven Scheu, forcing the Commodores to come up with a third offensive option.
