It was a chaotic ending on The Plains, but in the end Auburn upset LSU 18-13 in Week 4 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

On the strength of six field goals from Daniel Carlson, Auburn moved to 2-2 and still has life in the West. While coach Gus Malzahn and Co. continue to struggle offensively, the defense held LSU to 118 yards passing.

As for the Bayou Bengals, quarterback Danny Etling appeared to steal this game 19-18 with a touchdown pass on the final play of regulation. However, after further review, it was ruled that he didn’t get the snap off in time. With the pressure on, LSU seemed to be disorganized and didn’t manage the clock very well.

Both coaches came into this contest on the hot seat, so Malzahn bought himself some job security for now. Conversely, Les Miles will more than likely receive a rude welcome when he arrives back home in Baton Rouge.
