The Philadelphia Eagles made a big splash this offseason when they signed former South Carolina WR Alshon Jeffery.

As happy as that signing made Eagles fans, perhaps the most excited person is second-year QB Carson Wentz.

As the Eagles prepare for the 2017 season, Wentz is thrilled to have the ex-Gamecock on the roster, telling Philly.com that Jeffery has the strongest hands of any receiver he’s ever played with:

“With Alshon, it’s not only his catch radius. He’s also got the strongest pair of hands I’ve ever seen. The thing with Alshon and I, we just need to keep building that chemistry, keep building that relationship.’’

While playing for the Chicago Bears last season, Jeffery caught 52 passes for 821 yards and two touchdowns, though he was limited to only 12 games due to injury.

If he can stay healthy this fall, he and Wentz could form quite the connection in the NFC East.
