South Carolina’s expecting a $3.2 million financial windfall from its nationally-televised season opener against North Carolina in the Belk College Kickoff at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Gamecocks athletics director Ray Tanner confirmed Friday after a meeting with the university’s Board of Trustees that he expect South Carolina’s athletic department to bring in over $100 million for the 2015-16 fiscal year according to The State, a program record.

Nearly one-third of that estimated chunk is courtesy of the SEC Network, which recently dispersed a record-setting $31.07 million to each of the SEC’s 14 schools. According to The State, $22 million is expected to be generated from ticket sales and another $14 million from The Gamecock Club.

The Tar Heels will also receive $3.2 million for the Sept. 3 opener.

Upper-level seats for the opener start at $76 on Ticketmaster. Lower-level seats are as high as $285.

“If you get asked the same thing I get asked, we did not have anything to do with the ticket prices for that game,” Tanner told the board according to The State.
