There’s a new No. 1 prospect for the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Rivals updated their individual prospect rankings for the 2020 recruiting cycle on Tuesday and Columbia, S.C., native Jordan Burch elevated 10 spots up to No. 3 nationally in the company’s rankings. That move for Burch may not have made him No. 1 by Rivals’ standard but it was enough to push the South Carolina native to No. 1 by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

If you were unaware, the 247Sports Composite Rankings factor in the rankings of 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals to come up with the composite rankings. Uncommitted Texas running back Zachary Evans was previously ranked No. 1 in the nation before this latest update from Rivals.

Burch, who is also currently uncommitted, if being recruited heavily by both in-state programs South Carolina and Clemson, in addition to Alabama, Georgia and LSU, among others. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Hammond School product in Columbia projects as a defensive end in college.

Now the big question in Columbia will be can Muschamp and company keep the nation’s top prospect at home?
