Xavier Thomas is a wanted man.

Ranked as the No. 2 player in the 247Sports top-100 composite recruiting rankings, Thomas is a terror off of the edge. His combination of power and short-area quickness makes him a virtual nightmare for high school tackles to block.

Virtually every major school in the country has offered Thomas a scholarship. Though he attends IMG Academy in Florida, he is a native of South Carolina.

With months until his decision will be finalized, a lot could change. However, it appears as if Thomas has narrowed his list down to the two in-state programs: Clemson and South Carolina.

Thomas did interestingly enough call South Carolina his dream school. He also had this to say about the Gamecocks program:

“I haven’t been to South Carolina for a while, but everyone expects me to go to Clemson, because they have the new facilities and they just won a championship. I already knew about the facility. I already expected them to win the championship. I’m just looking forward to seeing South Carolina and how they do with this upcoming season.”

Landing Thomas would easily be the biggest recruiting victory for Will Muschamp and his staff to date. Thomas would likely start for USC the day he steps on campus.
