Clemson-South Carolina will be playing for a new prize in 'The Palmetto Bowl'
A brand new trophy was unveiled for the Clemson-South Carolina rivalry.
The Gamecocks’ 113-year football rivalry with the Tigers only recently became known as “The Palmetto Bowl” last season, and Clemson unveiled the new prize the teams will be playing for on Saturday, which is quite representative of the rivalry’s name.
The only score showcased on the trophy at the moment is last season’s win by Clemson, 31-17. The two will renew their annual rivalry this Saturday when top-ranked Clemson visits South Carolina in Columbia. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ESPN.
