South Carolina and East Carolina will play four times over the next six years with the first matchup scheduled in Columbia for 2016, sources have told FBSschedules.com.

The Pirates originally announced a five-game contract with the Gamecocks in 2007 which was supposed to include a trip to Greenville, N.C., but that deal was superceded by a new contract in 2014, according to FBSschedules.

South Carolina’s played East Carolina three times since 2011, including once in Charlotte, winning all three contests. The Pirates’ Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium seats 50,000 fans, making it the third largest college stadium in North Carolina.
