Four-star 2017 defensive back Hasmah Nasirildeen committed to South Carolina Tuesday.

Nasirildeen selected the Gamecocks over Florida State and Florida, according to 247Sports.com. South Carolina was the first Power 5 school to offer the North Carolina native during his visit to the Gamecocks Junior Day in February.

Nasirildeen is South Carolina’s top-ranked commit and is the No. 1 prospect from North Carolina, according to 247Sports. He also ranks as the No. 3 player from North Carolina, No. 12 outside linebacker and No. 139 overall prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking.

Nasirildeen’s commitment boosts South Carolina to No. 20 overall, according to the 247Sports Composite team rankings. The Gamecocks also look to add top in-state prospect OrTre Smith, who is scheduled to announce his college decision next month.
