Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery took part in a Windy City tradition Saturday afternoon, singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at the Cubs game.

Though the former Gamecocks wideout doesn’t quite have the pipes to quit his day job, the Cubbies may want to keep Jeffery around as a good luck charm, as Chicago topped Philadelphia 4-1.

Jeffery, who also threw out the first pitch, used the public appearance to ease Chicago fans’ fears of a long-term contract holdout.

The photo with coach John Fox should help assure Bears fans that the team and Jeffery are on at least decent terms while negotiating a new contract.
