South Carolina coach Will Muschamp announced Wednesday that three recent graduates will not be back in 2017, forgoing a final year of eligibility.

A team release states that wide receiver Jamari Smith, who graduated in December with a degree in public health; defensive back Jasper Sasser, who is on track to graduate in May with a degree in sport and entertainment management; and running back David Williams, who is slated to graduate in May with a degree in retail management; are no longer on the team.

“All three of these student-athletes will have earned their degrees at the University of South Carolina,” Muschamp said. “We appreciate their contributions to the program and wish them the best in the future.”

Smith played in the 2013 and ’16 seasons. He recorded 14 rushes for 108 yards and a touchdown in 2013, and 2 carries for 7 yards this past season.

Sasser played in two games this season, against Mississippi State and UMass, making 9 total tackles.

Williams contributed the last three seasons. He has 187 carries for 794 years and 5 touchdowns in his career, including 56 carries for 239 yards and 3 touchdowns this season.
