South Carolina has won four of its last five games but will face a major test on Saturday at Clemson.

The Tigers are very much in the mix to return to the College Football Playoff and have one of the country’s top players in quarterback Deshaun Watson. Will Muschamp is aware of just how difficult it will be to defend Watson in the Gamecocks’ upcoming rivalry game.

“He’s not a good player, he’s a great player,” Muschamp said, according to The State’s Ben Breiner. “He’s a guy that’s up for the Heisman, and if they give it to him, they’re not making a mistake. He’s really good. So he’s a guy that we’ve got a lot of respect for.”

South Carolina’s defense has been among the best in the SEC this season but was tested in its 44-31 victory against Western Carolina by another dual-threat quarterback, Tyrie Adams.

Keeping Watson under wraps is not an easy task, but it’s one the Gamecocks must accomplish if they want to take down the Tigers.
