South Carolina officially announced three moves on Will Muschamp’s staff Monday, as Matt Lindsey will be the new Director of Player Personnel, Robbie Liles has been promoted to Director of Football Operations, and Corey Miller has been named an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Lindsey comes from the Philadelphia Eagles, where he held the role of scouting assistant before landing the College Scouting Coordinator position in 2014. Lindsey worked with the Eagles’ scouts and front office personnel and handled day-to-day scheduling and organization of the scouting efforts for college all-star games, the NFL Combine as well as on-campus visits.

Lindsey is a graduate of Alabama and worked on three staffs which won national championships in Tuscaloosa under head coach Nick Saban.

“Matt has a complete understanding of our operation from a recruiting standpoint,” said Coach Muschamp via statement. “He worked for four years in the recruiting department at Alabama and has now added the experience of working in the NFL. He will be a valuable addition to our staff.”

Those familiar with the South Carolina program know the name Robbie Liles well, as the USC graduate has served with the program over the last 16 years and has now been rewarded with yet another promotion. Liles has worked intimately with the Gamecocks recruiting efforts since 2001.

“I’m excited to move Robbie into this role,” Muschamp said. “He has been a key member of the Gamecocks’ football staff for many years and, in his new role, will be assisted by Kim Fields in the day-to-day operations and logistics of the program.”

Lastly, South Carolina native and former Tennessee Volunteer defensive end Corey Miller has joined the staff as well. Miller played for current USC running backs coach Bobby Bentley at Byrnes High School before going on to a successful four-year career with the Vols. This move should only further develop the Gamecocks pipeline to South Carolina’s talented high school players in the future.
