Most of South Carolina’s 25-member 2017 recruiting class are now in Columbia practicing with the team, but the Gamecocks are still waiting on 3-star OL Jordon Carty.

After Saturday’s scrimmage, though, coach Will Muschamp provided an update on the Florida native’s status.

According to Muschamp, Carty will enroll at the university on Thursday, but it might be too late for him to make an impact this fall:

Fortunately for the Gamecocks, that’s why redshirts were invented, and Carty will likely take one this fall.

According to the 247Sports composite, Carty is the No. 79 offensive tackle in the class of 2017 and No. 114 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
