2016 Alabama coaching staff

Head coach Nick Saban kept the bulk of his staff together, but defensive coordinator Kirby Smart left to take the Georgia Bulldogs’ head coaching vacancy. Defensive backs coach Mel Tucker also joined Smart at Georgia.

The 2016 staff newcomers are defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, defensive backs coach Derek Ansley, interior offensive line coach Brent Key and defensive line coach Karl Dunbar.

Former defensive line coach Bo Davis resigned in April after allegations of recruiting violations.
