Mississippi State Defense Quietly Making Noise
Since giving up 41 points to Auburn in week two, the Bulldogs have turned things around on the defensive side of the ball. They are currently allowing an average of 19.3 point per game, which ranks 19th best in the nation. In the five games since the Auburn loss, they’ve only allowed an average of 14 points.

After a five day span that they’d just as soon forget, Mississippi State must now regroup and focus on what lies ahead. Although a 1-2 start isn’t what Dan Mullen envisioned for his team, there’s still a lot of football yet to be played.

Favorable Forecast For Mississippi State
As Mississippi State heads into it’s third season under Dan Mullen, many experts think the Bulldogs will have a hard time surpassing their eight regular season wins from a year ago. Let’s face it, even improvement doesn’t always translate into more wins in the world of SEC football.
